About

About this site

We republish official regulatory decisions about Ontario real-estate registrants, in full, and explain them so that ordinary buyers and sellers can use them.

What we do

Ontario’s regulator publishes discipline decisions, but as PDFs in a legal register that few consumers ever read. We host those decisions, transcribe them word for word, and write explainers that stay inside what the document says. Our first and current case is the 2022 decision concerning Mustafa Zia.

What we don’t do

  • We do not accept or publish reviews, complaints or tips about registrants.
  • We do not use words the regulator did not use. If a decision does not say “fraud”, neither do we.
  • We do not identify parties the regulator anonymised.
  • We do not take money from registrants, brokerages, competitors or lawyers, and we run no advertising.

Who we are

The site is operated by a small independent team with a background in consumer information. We are not lawyers and nothing here is legal advice. We are not affiliated with RECO, RE/MAX, or any brokerage or registrant. Contact us at info@canadabrokersreviews.com.

Why the name

The domain predates the site’s current focus. We kept it because it is honest about the subject, brokers and their public records, and because changing it would break links to the decision.
